Collins College - School of Art, Design and Technology

Engage Your Passion

Collins College is a school of design and technology. Our industry-driven curriculum places a strong emphasis on preparing you with the skills you’ll need to start your career.

We offer bachelor degrees in visual communication, graphic design, interior design, animation, visual arts – game art, game design, media arts, and network technology. Associate degrees are also offered in specific programs.

"Learn by doing" is a way of life at Collins. We are firm believers of hands-on education. Most of your instructors will be working professionals. You will have access to current technology. And when you are ready to graduate, we will help you find a job in your profession.

We work hard to keep pace with design and technology trends. We calibrate our curriculum, hardware and software according to industry standards. We have made a substantial investment in equipment in our programs, and in some areas, we are at the forefront in technology acquisitions. Being able to work on cutting-edge technology not only gives you invaluable experience, but an advantage when preparing your resume.

Collaborative Atmosphere
With an average enrollment of approximately 2,000 students from across the nation, you will receive a high ratio of individual instruction. Our classes are small and encourage creative collaboration between staff and students. We place a high priority on hiring instructors who have experience in their respective fields.

Accelerated Pace
Unlike a traditional four-year program, if you are a full-time student in any of our bachelor’s programs you have the option to graduate in 31 months or less depending on your major. A typical week includes attending classes five hours a day, four days a week with lab time reserved on the fifth day. Night classes are also available.

Individual Attention
As you near graduation, you can work with Career Services to find an entry-level position in your field locally or nationally. While attending school, we can help you with interim employment, and if needed, financial assistance options.

Great Location
Collins main campus is located in Tempe, Arizona, part of the metropolitan Phoenix area. Phoenix is one of the fastest-growing cities in the nation. It offers a robust economy and an average temperature of 85 degrees. Since Tempe is also home to Arizona State University, you’ll find ample activities and opportunities.
